One of the most meaningful ways the PTO supports our district is by helping ensure students have access to enriching experiences across all grade levels. Here are a few ways your support has made a difference recently:
Early Learning Center
Partnered with the Early Learning Center to bring enrichment programming to students, including the Parker Jones Basketball Assembly and the Whiz Bang Science Show.
Provided classroom resources through teacher wishlists.
Primary School
Restocked the Book Vending Machine for Positive Referrals.
Purchased House banners displayed proudly at Family Bingo.
Supported teachers by providing classroom supplies and restocking the breakroom with snacks.
Intermediate School
Funded teacher grant requests that directly support classroom learning.
Expanded classroom and staff support with additional supplies and breakroom restocks.
Middle School
Provided transportation and snacks for the 7th grade Holocaust Museum field trip.
Supported the 7th grade House Selection Assembly.
Funded teacher grant requests.
Provided Washington, D.C. trip scholarships for 18 students who otherwise could not attend.
Made it possible for students not attending the D.C. trip to visit the Columbus Zoo.
Provided classroom materials requested by teachers.
High School
Awarded High School college scholarships.
Hosted the 2026 High School Talent Show, featuring a preview performance from the New Albany Middle School theatre program’s upcoming musical, Beetlejuice Jr.
Your support helps remove barriers, enrich learning, and create opportunities for students across all five schools.
Hospitality Highlights
Holiday Lunch Tour Across All Schools
Our annual holiday lunch tradition returned in December, and we were thrilled to celebrate staff in every building. We are so grateful for the incredible educators and staff who support our students every day.
Fueling February Conference Nights at the Middle School
The PTO provided dinner for teachers during both Middle School conference nights, helping support staff during long evenings with families.
Making Memories
High School Talent Show
The PTO proudly partnered with Melissa Gould, Director of the New Albany Middle School Theatre Department, to support the 2026 High School Talent Show on January 30. Students took the stage to share their talents, build confidence, and create a night full of energy and school spirit. Thank you to the families who came out to support our high school students! Even on one of the coldest nights of the winter, families showed up to support our high school students — thank you!
Primary School Family Bingo
Families looking for a fun way to beat the winter chill found it at Free Family Bingo on February 8. With more than 200 attendees, the event brought together students and parents for an afternoon of friendly competition, house pride, and plenty of prizes. Dr. Peterson and Mrs. Arkow kept the energy high as guest bingo callers, and thanks to Shirck Orthodontics, families enjoyed popcorn while they played.
Kindness Parties
Kindness was in the air on February 12 as classroom parties took place across both the Early Learning Center and Primary School. A huge thank-you to our Head Room Parents for the time, creativity, and care they put into organizing celebrations that mean so much to our littlest learners. There were smiles all around!
Giving Back
Supporting Our Teachers & Classrooms
Following our fall Early Learning Center teacher lounge restock, we expanded the effort this winter to the Primary, Intermediate, and Middle Schools through teacher and staff wishlists.
Thank you to our families for helping restock classroom supplies and break rooms. Through Amazon Wish Lists, families were able to send much-needed items and snacks directly to each school.
Every contribution helped support our students and the staff who care for them each day.
Looking for another way to support our schools? Monetary donations of any amount help New Albany PTO fund programs and experiences for students across the district. Friends, relatives, and neighbors are welcome to give too.
