SUBJECT: 💫 What PTO Families Made Possible This Spring
March - May PTO Update
One Community. A Lot of Momentum.
As we wrap up our first year as a unified PTO, we’re incredibly proud of what our school community accomplished together for students, staff, and families across all five schools.
This spring, PTO families showed up in a big way, packing lunches, supporting teachers and staff, organizing special events, and creating memorable experiences for students across the district.
From Service Day and Conference Nights to the Fairytale Ball and Teacher Appreciation Week, thank you for helping make this such a fun, meaningful, and memorable season for our schools.
We hope everyone has a wonderful summer, and we look forward to doing it all again next year.
Giving Back
Unified PTO Service Day
What began as a beloved Primary School tradition expanded district-wide this spring as families, students, and staff from all five schools came together for our first unified PTO Service Day.
The afternoon was filled with busy hands, full tables, and students of all ages serving side by side.
Together, our community assembled 253 hygiene kits, 1,000 snack bags, and 400 sack lunches while also collecting 814 diapers and 87 books.
Donations and projects supported Huckleberry House, Columbus Diaper Coalition, St. Stephen’s Community House, and the New Albany Food Pantry.
One of the best parts of the day was seeing students from across the district working together to give back to the community around them.
Thank you to every volunteer, donor, student, and family who helped make the event such a success.
Showing Up for our Schools
Conference Nights Across the District
Conference nights are long, and PTO families helped make sure staff across the district felt supported along the way.
Throughout March, volunteers coordinated stocked lounges, dinners, coffee, snacks, and treats for teachers and staff during busy conference weeks and evening events across multiple buildings.
At the end of March, ELC staff were also treated to Eagles Pizza and salad as a small thank-you for all they do each day.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Earlier this month, we celebrated the teachers and staff who show up for students every single day.
Across all five schools, PTO volunteers helped deliver popcorn, sips and snacks, sweet treats, decorations, and surprises throughout Teacher Appreciation Week to help staff feel celebrated and appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who donated items, volunteered their time, sent kind notes, or helped support the week in any way. We are incredibly grateful for this community and all the ways it continues to show up for our schools.
Making Memories
Early Learning Center Fairytale Ball
The Fairytale Ball returned this spring and transformed the Early Learning Center into a night full of music, movement, creativity, and fun for our youngest Eagles and their families.
From the inflatable sports zone and tinsel hair station to face painting, crafts, life-size coloring, and the always-popular 360 photo booth, there was something for everyone to enjoy. DJ Matt Ryan kept the energy high all evening long.
A huge thank you to our Programming Team, volunteers, staff, and families who helped make the event such a special night for the ELC community.
Supporting Future PTO Programs
Spring Flower Sale
This year’s Spring Flower Sale was another huge success across the Early Learning Center, Primary School, Intermediate School, and Middle School.
Thank you to the families, volunteers, and community members who helped support the fundraiser this spring. Every purchase helps fund student programs, staff support, school events, and PTO initiatives across the district.
Minted Graduation Cards
Graduation season is here, and our partnership with Minted continues year-round.
Families can use code FUNDRAISENAPLPTO for savings on graduation announcements, cards, and more while also giving back to the PTO.
Please avoid sharing the code publicly on coupon websites, as public posting may cause the partnership to be discontinued.
School Tool Boxes for 2026–2027 Are Now Available
One less thing to think about later this summer. School Tool Boxes for the 2026–2027 school year are now available for ELC through Middle School students.
Each box is teacher-approved, customized by grade level, and shipped directly to your home. Every purchase also supports the New Albany PTO and helps fund programs, experiences, teacher support, and student opportunities across our schools.
Order early and check school supplies off your list before summer flies by.
Looking for another way to support our schools? Monetary donations of any amount help New Albany PTO fund programs and experiences for students across the district. Friends, relatives, and neighbors are welcome to give too.
